"Words are containers for power,
you choose what kind of power they carry."
-Joyce Meyer
Words are extremely powerful tools that can motivate, inspire or destroy. We can use it to uplift our personal energy and improve our lives, though we are often unaware of the words we speak, read, and expose ourselves to. Our personal vibration also can be affected by the words of others.
How important is remembering this when we are with our students. We can make a difference in their daily lives at school. I remember Dr. Harapnuik’s words at the end of our first meeting, “I am here to help you be successful,” those words were powerful to me; they motivated me and inspired me to keep going.
I also learned how to change people who don’t want to change if we use the right strategy. Using an influential question instead a lecture approach is more effective. If we really want to bring change in people, we need to appeal to their hearts and not their heads. I tried applying this method to people around me, and I think it is working.
